The volunteers from CAMFC are no longer directly involved with the organisation of the event (which has now been renamed as SOUTHERN MODEL SHOW), and are not in a position to answer your enquiries.
CAMFC volunteers are in contact with Heritage Events, to offer them advice, but all arrangements and bookings are no longer their remit.
All email addresses and telephone numbers, previously advertised for CAMFC volunteers, are no longer valid, and should be ignored. Please contact Heritage Events, who will answer all your enquiries.
The 2013 Show will be held at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent, 14/15th September.
Thankyou,
Peter Royall,

As you all know, slots are very busy at this show, and no-shows really affect our ability to maximise the flying for both the visitors and pilots – that’s you! By telling us you will no longer be coming will mean more flying for everyone else, and that could well be you in future years.
We will not accept notification in any form other than from the individuals directly, so if you know of someone who is not coming, PLEASE get them to drop us a line directly as I will not scrub a pilot on someone else’s say-so.
If you have already told someone that you will not be coming, say at another show, but have not told us in response to this request, will you please contact us again via the email above.
(Just for your information, we keep a list of every pilot that books in to each show, and every pilot that doesn’t attend or fly, and this information is considered when we make up the slots year on year).
Thanks for your help, and look forward to another stunning years flying!

Still buzzing, SMAS was absolutely, totally pukka.. What can I say.. Blown away by it all..
I'm well looking forward to next years show already...
Can somebody pleaseee pass on my sincerest thanks to Ann on the Flight line / Tea tent..
Its amazing what a little home comfort like a fresh cuppa and a biccie can do for tired feet and empty bellies when duty is calling, so I'd really like to say thanks for that.
Having spent almost the entire day today meeting and shaking hands with as many of the traders/exhibitors as possible, they all had fantastic things to say about the show, all said it was the best show to come to, and all would be back again next year, which really is a great thing to hear for somebody like little ole me, its like hearing the whole world tell your that you've joined THE best RC club around
Also, I'm sure your all aware of what me and Steve were doing all weekend, so could I possibly ask, if possible, if any of you guys have any video footage and/or photos that can be put into the show DVD, could I get it all asap so I can start stringin together all posible footage / angles for the DVD if thats ok?
I'll take any footage/pics I can get my hands on, no matter what format, via any method, no matter how good/bad/long/short it is so we can make the DVD as good as can possibly be.... Advice also VERY welcome too... Also from those who dont frequent the forums (Pass on the request)
Thanks to all for making it what it is Its mentallllll

I note several of the shows are already actively advertising, and the already published 2011 Event databases are beginning to be fleshed out, for example:-

The SMAS website currently shows:-
The Southern Model Air Show 2010 - The South of England's Premier Model Air Show, The Hop Farm, Kent
18th & 19th September 2010
255 days to go!

Quick question..... Does anybody have something like 50+ pics from each years SMAS in a zip file that they would like to donate? I'd like to upload them to the gallery section on my own RC website...
Pretty please

Just getting everything "IT" together for the show and though I would post some details here to kick everything off.
I am bringing a laptop with full mobile internet to the hop farm and will be posting stories etc from the lead up to and from the actual show via a couple of routes. hoping to get a little more time to do this in 2010 as I believe we have a few more photographers etc this year.
I will be running stories, mailings and feeds on the main site as this is where most visitors turn up first but I will also be looking to use the following too..
The Twitter feed is on again http://twitter.com/SMASNews, this posts to Twitter but also posts to the SMAS website. If anyone has a Twitter client on their mobile and would like "tweet" interesting info from the live show, let me know and i'll let you have the passwords. looking for a couple of people here.
Next, I have setup a SMAS facebook group, http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=160038014010736 I will sent invites to those on my friends list but if your on facebook please feel free to join, could do with a couple of "officers" for this group too, again give me a shout and i'll promote any CAMFC member who would like to help.
Lastly, send invites on the above to all your friends and family, I would like to build up a bit of community and see if we cant get a bit of a buzz going.
Any questions, give me a shout.
Regards
Paul
