Her Klunk 0
After my last delta met a tree after a 300 ft dive with a slow roll to the right. I have re-designed the WIYW delta to accept the MVVS Q500 engine and turn a 8*10 prop with a tuned pipe. Will post pics as the build progresses. Maybe with some luck might have it built by Sunday but we shall see. Well there is always Monday as no flying on bank holiday. I have upgrade the servos this time to HS 645MG 107 ounce, himm a bit OTT but what the heck with a possible top speed to 200 mph I decide to play it very safe. The new MVVS Q500 looks great and is rated for 23000 rpm...nice they also do a Pylon version for 26,000... well we shall see.
Her Klunk 0
Work on new delta to date. You can see the construction is fairly basic. Carbon rods and balsa. Biggest problem is cutting and pasting plan to balsa and then cutting ribs out by hand. Would love my own CNC machine.
Her Klunk 0
My new delta is nearly complete, Just have to finish elevons and vertical stabs and then cover the model. Will but flying at the field this weekend along with my own design dolly to resolve the hand launch issue.
