THIS IS THE COACH WE HAVE BOOKED FOR THE DAY 

Hi all

Croydon Airport Model Flying Club have organised a day trip tour of the WW1 battle fields and Ypres on the 12th may 2018.

We shall be departing at 06:00 from Whyteleafe Railway Station by Air Conditioned coach.

First tour of duty will be LIJSSENTHOEK which was the location for a number of casualty clearing stations during ww1.

Second tour of duty will be at ESSEX FARM cemetery not far from the yser canal ,which formed the front line in this part of the salient between april 1915 to august 1917, it was at ESSEX FARM that colonel john mccrae wrote the pome in flanders fields in may 1915 , and the site of one of the youngest fatalities of the war rifleman joe strudwick who died on the 14th jan 1916 aged 15

Third tour of duty will be the German war cemetery at LANGEMARK where more then 44,000 soldiers are buried.

Forth tour of duty is TYNE COT cemetery , the largest commonwealth war graves commission cemetery in the world . it is now the resting place of more than 11,900 british empire serviceman.

Fith tour of duty after TYNE COT we head to YPRES for the afternoon for lunch and sightseeing before the the last post ceremony, at the MENIN GATE

After all that emotional history, its back onto the coach for the return crossing by eurotunnel, back to Whyteleafe by around midnight.

Requirements: Current Passport + Spending money for food / gifts.

Cost: £50 per person, with a £25 non-refundable deposit to be payed to the club by the 28th Feb 2018!

if you would like to book your self on the trip please send the club your £25 deposit no later then the 28th of February 2018 then send an email to "treasurer@camfc.co.uk" to let him know you have paid your deposit!

.so it's time for a trip we have some ideas The Kent Battle of Britain Museum The National Memorial to the Few at Capel-le-Ferne Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum, Manston . what are your thoughts and anything else you would like to do

Just got 2x ft951 set one to CH 6 5840mhz .don't no what the fatshark is on as it went on out the box so will have to have a look be cool to race but don't think I am up to that just yet lol

hi all welcome to club nights 2013 held at . RAFA Kenley Portcullis Club ,this mouth we are going to put on a skills night so if you have a skill that you can pass on to the member of this fab club bring them and your self along to the club on the 28th ,

ON MAY 25/27th 2013 RAFA KENLEY are having a 40s show with lots of military vehicles ,live band ,plus ,and asked as if we would like to go a long and put on a static display for them ,we are only going up on the 25th .thanks
