I have fitted a new padlock to the gate this afternoon. It is easy to hook onto the uncut link on the chain. Please be accurate when you line up the numbers or it will not undo, I did it several times without any problems, if I can you can.

Just to remind every body that Good Friday and Easter Monday flying is restricted to quite electic models only in accordance with our planning approval.

Sorry about the burst of song, promise I won't sing again.

That's why I use lead locks and always recommend them when training.

The annual runway rolling has been fixed for Friday 8 April 2016.
This means flying is not available on the morning and early afternoon on this date.
Any member who can help with this task would be very welcome from 1000hrs on. A BBQ is planned by Peter and when finished
have a fly (and try and stop on the very flat runway).
Any one willing to help please reply to this post so we have an idea of numbers.
Thank you.

Watching the slalom ski race the other day the multi rota copter being used to get over head shots crashed a few feet from the racer! and I mean a few feet about 4 or 5 feet. Crowds were lining the course some meters away. The pilot must have been a pro with pro equipment so it shows what can happen when things go wrong. This was in Italy perhaps they allow flying close to and over people.
In the right hands with the right attitude to safety they are reasonably safe, in the wrong hands with little or no regard to safety they can (and probably will) be lethal.

I always use the mains power supply to charge, can't be bothered to take the battery out and why anyway.
For some time after Taranis was in use at the field several of the instructors debated for some time if this was the Tx to recommend to new members we were training. In the end the view taken by most is that if the new member is serious
about the sport then Taranis is the way to go, if not then go for a cheaper entry level radio. How much this saves in the end is debatable.

Please not that we are having some trees cut back at the Fickleshole field on Thursday and/or Friday 4/5 June 2015.
The trees are to the right of the big Oak tree to the right of the pilots box.
During this work no flying is allowed if it involves over flying this area in any way as tree surgeons will be in the trees or on ladders working.
After this is completed it should significantly improve the landing approach from the right for all members.
