  1. Even the "obvious in photos" cannon situation is a jungle, with some having the outer stubs removed, etc, etc.

    Would "yours" have had the belly Standard Beam Approach aerial?

  2. Nice Jimbo.......... 8)

    Having just gained a Ripmax Spitfire ARTF for £30, we could get a flight going..................mind you, I'd have to fly twice as near to make it look right!! :shock::lol::lol:

  3. Serious quality!! Very good "real world" feel to the surface finish/scheme. Looks better IMO than the more common red or blue trim on white.

    That full size plane as you probably well know was involved in a serious incident having an argument with a wall on take off in 2003 in Somerset when the pilot got his distracted by his map being stuck in the landing gear and at the time it was stated as "Beyond Economic Repair", but rebuilt and flying again by 2005.

    Note no sign of a map in the model..............good thinking! :lol::lol:

    PS, is the little red button on the top of the stick the guns.......................

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

  4. Time for my five penn'orth..................?

    1. Jimbo, even IF you HAVE got a big head, that only means your eyes are further apart and so your depth perception is better......making you potentially a much better pilot.........they must be jealous................ :roll::D:D

    2. I only hope H9 have improved their filming process for this one, from experience they seem to have little or no adhesion film to film and so separate at the edges far too easily.....(everything else seems good)....if you buy, I suggest you make sure you immediately seal all edges with hardener activated type fuel proofer, even if flying electric!!

  5. Very Nice!!!

    I have trouble with the Phoenix Simulator Spit nosing over, I'm never 100%..........!!! :oops:

    Suppose you all know about:-

    Slightly off topic, but recent British National Party literature banging on about Britain for the British used the "Spitfire" card to try to drum up nationalism, unfortunately they used a picture of a Polish Squadron plane, complete with chequer board marking. :roll:

    OOPS!! :lol::lol:

  6. Cheers, Leon, you must have got there about the same time a guy posted a pic elsewhere of a DV-II Carb, stating Thunder Tiger, obviously a smaller engine as smaller bore.

    Current TT engines have a different Carb body shape with angled back needle.

    So far the various TT and TT dealer websites have not helped identify it more positively..........I'm still trying.

  7. A long time passes since last post in this thread, but didn't want to start another.............. Still got yours, Steve??? :)

    Flew mine today...........my first I.C. powered plane since 1978!!

    SC 91 Two Stroke. Capable of vertical while on the edge of four stroking on a bit more than half throttle. Hopefully with two good flights today on top of three ground runs following SC's full throttle and back off run in procedure it'll be broken in and can be opened up next time.

    Really pleased, as I didn't need to touch any trims.

    Also pleased to find that with only the wing end plates unclipped it can be transported whole in my Focus hatch.............
