Pilot Ben 28
Hello everyone, As you know, I'm 12. When RCME comes to the door, I read the bits about the pulse jets, reviews and the how to sections, and then chuck it by my bed ( the cover ALWAYS falls off! ). Two nights ago I was reading the all write section, and saw a section on flight checks. It was written by some guy in Israel or someplace. He described that he didn't use the quick stick waggle, and that he did it slowly, and moved the surface to check security. He went on to say that he waggled the sticks slowly,.and the elevator started, stopped, and then jumped to the end. It turned out to be the servo had come loose, and had he taken off, would have had defective control, which would end him up in the oak or fur tree! I read this with interest, and made a mental note to do this with all planes in future. Indeed it saved the Cougar the night before when I found the elevator stabiliser completely loose ( it then crashed the next day ). You can read it in RCME, don't ask what edition, as my covers have all fallen off. I hope I have inspired you all to do this in future. Off to read the first pages in January issue now, B P.S. Click on the picture to see it clearly P.P.S. CHECK YOUR FAILSAFE TOO!!! Edited December 30, 2015 by Guest
