edf after burn

Yea, looks cool 8) , but its a strange not to mention largely unsuitable choice of test bed, as the Vampire was not normally afterburner fitted (as with most of the early jets), it only ran briefly as a test bed for an afterburner, and then only with a much longer effluent tube and a modified tail to get it up out of the flames.

On EP powered EDF, even the orange "ring" LEDS can look quite good, and IMO are far less likely to lose a flying site due to crop burning, etc, etc.....

 

So, No, I won't be trying it............. :mrgreen::mrgreen:

 

A friend ran a pulse jet in the 70's, VERY spectacular, Really LOOOONNNGG flame, horrendously noisy!!
