  1. I think that is a marvellous idea Steve, CAMFC TV hear we come :D:D:D:D

I know that you are really busy at the show Leon, But if we get the go ahead with this, Can we grab you with any technical issues with this lark,,, As i know you have knowledge in this field.

    Steve, 8)

  2. Anyway, If we get the go ahead, Whether it is a commitee thing or what, Let me and Richard know,

Then Richard and i can discuss it further and see what we can conjure up,

As we have discussed it briefly on the telephone, And are both up for it, Right Richard, :)

Also we can resume this in the members area if you prefer,

  3. Well this is only a suggestion to all, I used to be a cameraman working on call with pinewood studios.

I have filmed various documentarys such as whats a carry on, Gerry andersons thunderbirds etc,

I currently have digital Betacam broadcast camera equipment, I think Richard and i could make a good camera crew,

Also Richard, Your computer editing skills would be paramount after the event, Probably a firewire download,

We could make a broadcast quality documentary of the whole show, As Richard said film the bring and buy, Trade stands,

Flight line, Behind the scenes, Red arrows, Training etc etc, With interviews etc etc,

Anyone we interview or film would have to sign to say we can use the footage as we want, ie promo utube etc,

I could bring the gear to the field on sunday for a test run,

What do you think, It is only a thought, But if we go ahead, It would be a full time job for at least two of us throughout the show, As there would be a lot of footage to get through,

Or as Richard said, Is there already something like this in place for the show,

  4. This is my new project, f-4 Phantom, 59 span,

So far i have put the doner os 61 in from the late Vulcan, Changed all the servos and wiring, Took it for a test run

today, Just up and down the runway, Now setting the throws and cg etc, Hope to be flying it on saturday and Sunday if weather permits,

Also hoping Steve may be there as my spotter, Also Ground crew and film crew if possible :) ,

    Anyone flew one similar?,,,, :plane:

Any hints of flight characteristics for this type of model would be most welcome,

    Steve 8)

  5. Thanks Alan

Yes it was a Great little adventure, Good luck with yours then, I think they do look good in the air, Nice shape,

I am thinking of getting something similar, Very soon, Maybe even a propjet :plane: ,

  6. It certainly is value for money Steve - well, as long as your into it - I mean I'm not sure my wife would agree :D

Think how much pleasure you'd get from building something from the balsa up and then flying it - I tell you, nothing beats it :)

Mind you, I did enjoy refurbishing the acro wot with that silver, And the xtra wot,

    Steve 8)

  7. What a shame! Like I said, cool, scary and VERY exciting lol

Well done for you attempts Steve. It looked very pitch sensitive to me, which would imply that it was TAIL heavy...

Still, made a good video! I suggest you build your own one from some plans now Steve - what dya reckon?

    Jim

Thanks jim, When i was flying it, I had to hold the elevator stick in almost the fully down position, to keep the nose up,

It may have given you the wrong idea in the video as i said i am using down elevator, I have been in the habit of calling down elevator what you call up elevator ever since i started flying, I always thought that was right  So anyway, if i tried to centre the elevator, It just dropped like a stone,

Is a good video though apart from the boring bits, But i think richard is going to edit it and make it widescreen etc,

Not sure about finding the time to build one though, What with work commitments in between flying, I enjoy the challenge of finding little gems such as the Vulcan, I mean even though it was totalled, It cost me more last week to go to the airshow, And i had more fun with the Vulcan.

Dont get me wrong, The airshow was good too,

    Steve, 8)
