Club Members Trevor 25 Posted November 26, 2011 Club Members Share Posted November 26, 2011 I think I found the problem with my Saito 80 that wouldn't rev. The old 80 has an adjustable throttle stop screw to stop the throttle idle going too low. It also acts as a a guide and a retainer to stop the throttle barrel sliding out of the carb. The screw was undone too far and was allowing the throttle barrel to slide. When the engine was revved up, the vibration caused the barrel to slide about and was closing the throttle. The newer Saitos have a fixed screw so this doesnt happen. You live and learn.
Jimbo 0
Good spot Trevor. Seems Saito saw the error of their ways too in the new version.
