At the time Dave, that wasnt showing on their website, or at least I never saw it... I have now found it and downloaded it. Will give it a bash, however, the original point was actually concerning the drought of Phoenix software?
Even the manufacturer dont sell the media on their website anymore..
P.S, I'm somewhat familiar with installing software

Hey...
So looking around for a legit Phoenix v5.5, or even a v5 seems to be proving fruitless and impossible.
eBay has a guy selling "copies" for £40, one bloke even had one at £1000 with a DX5, but even phoenix sim themselves state out of stock on their website with the media being £15...
How on earth can I get hold of the latest v5.5 to use with my official Wireless USB adapter?
My old v2.5 only updates to v4, and wont update from that any further now, it seems (It used to)..
Bit stuck as to how to get v5.5 now.

Dear New Members...
There is a section of our forums for CAMFC members only. By joining online, you should have instant access to it as soon as your application has been paid and approved, however, if you cannot see our flying diary and "Members only" section then please do drop me a PM and let me know.
However, I don't know every member of the club, please forgive me if I ask any questions to check.

So it's a bode job by Air France a bit like trying to stick a prop collet adapter to an IC engine
No, Air France don't make engines. Until the cause is actually known, I prefer to not even speculate.

Hi Mark / Trevor
Your "Location" can ONLY be seen by other members. Go ahead and sign out, and then take a look at this same page, you will see its not visible.
Also, given that registrations are not automatic, people cannot just apply to join and instantly view membership stuff. Even free members joining are not allowed instant access, in order to keep the spammers out.
So the only people who will see your location are those who already know it anyway

So, we now have a gallery here, but what categories would folk like to see?
Members hangar?
From the field?
Club events & Shows?
Black bag specials? (Crash landings)?

Hi Dave
Password info and wording was very deliberate. Wish you had asked me that privately. Oh well.
Members only chit chat now restored, but it seems the import merged the 2 together as it saw 2 forums with the same name. Am now seperating them thread-by-thread.
Regarding what is accessible to members and non-members, log yourself out and you will see everything that non-paying members see. It does also say it on the foeum section titles "CAMFC Members"
Will look at re-ordering the sections. I dare not rush it though, as I fear you have another 10 things to add to the to-do list should I complete the adjustments too fast? lol

Have edited almost every post in this thread, as it seems a LOT of the formatting imported with loads of extra hidden spaces from the old software.
Have updated the main website links now too.

Hi Dave
Any chance you can throw your copy of it over here and I'll fix it?

Website problemo sorted. Found the cause of it too and fixed that whilst I was at it.
Love how this free software costs hundreds in man hours to stop it falling over all the time

What does the icon look like that you click on to surf the web?
Can you take a screenshot from your phone?
0 -
Nope, no confusion here mate, understood what you said perfectly, both times
If you can find out what web browser your phone is using, that would be the only info I need.
When you look at the homepage, do you get the little box with 3 lines in, which when clicked, opens the website menu, and some items have a + next to them?
If you do, its the + you need to click on to expand that menu item, as clicking on the menu item itself doesn't do anything.

Hi Dave
What browser are you using on your device?
I have so far tested it with Safari, Firefox and Chrome on the iPhone5, iPhone 6+, iPad Mini and iPad Air, and everything does what it is meant to.
You shoud get the "Burger menu" thingy in the top left, those 3 little bars, which then open the menu with + signs next to each item that has sub-menu items..

Have sent you a PM regarding this, but on the whole, editing is limited to 60 minutes and deleting posts is disabled.
Update on the images, it seems a lot of the corrupted images have links to "tapatalk"

An actual board, that hovers, finally...

Ben, many thanks. So long as it is working, its way down on the list of things to do right now..
If there is a problem, before we all jump on me to "fix it", can we first establish if it is limited to you or if others are having the same issue.
Just like the "New posts", mine show up just fine, and I test these things across 4 computers with 4 different web browsers, hence just clicking on something is not classed as testing. It needs to be checked carefully on different operating systems with different browsers.
Also, your forum signature makes it very difficult to read your posts, due to the amount of text it puts on-screen.
Currently I'm working on the events calendar, with the developer of the calendar app. Havent spent too much money so far

Hi Richard,
It is mobile friendly as you say. However, several of us look at other forums as well using TapaTalk and it is very convenient to have all the forums in the same list. It would be nice if the CAMFC one could be enabled for TapaTalk, is this possible?
Hi Trevor
Whilst I'm sure it very likely can be, after the agro it caused in upgrading the forum software, and the headache I had removing it just to get the upgrade to run, I would err on the side of "Keeping things simple", just due to lack of hours in a day in maintaining yet another app/addon.
I don't know enough about Tapatalk backend either, as I have deliberately avoided it due to many problems with it, and as so many websites are going mobile friendly now, it might feel like a backwards move?

Phoenix v5.5 Drought?
in Simulators
Posted
Well, I finally got a small window of opportunity today to install the "Any to v5" update, and once installed, it works, but I cant download any updates from that point.
Everytime I start Phoenix it "Checks for updates" and finds none, and going to "Downloads" simply results in it telling my to check my internet connection as it cannot find the server.
Next step, complete uninstall and re-install from the v5 CD fresh... See if that works.
I assume its just me who is having this issue with phoenix software not updating?
