  1. I am sure there are 3 "airworthy" Mosquito's still! There was talk / rumors with in this year, that one day there would be a Mos at Biggin Hill, in the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar collection! But I have not heard anything for a long time now!
  2. About time :- https://www.facebook.com/TheTwoSeatSpit ... 548992794/ http://bigginhillheritagehangar.co.uk/messerschmitt-me109 P.s Can't link the engine start-up video......so had to link it by facebook page Been heading about the ME109 at Biggin Hill for sometime now, but this is the first video I've seen!
  3. Saw this display about 2 years ago at Biggin Hill! But the Typhoon was painted in Gray and not camo! Hopping the synchro will be displaying at more fullsize airshows next year!
  4. I think Nylon bolts have a place! But they do have some draw backs to them! In the winter, they became more brittle due to the cold and will break easier, when metal would have not, even in a good landing! Some people cut into them a bit, to make them break easier! Maybe not a bad idea on u/c / large bolts! But I've seen flyer that have done it for mounting the wings Or using them by accident, for the wings
  5. Great shame, been watching the build for this for some time
  6. Up to you......if you want one get it .............. Just remember carbon will snap, where metal bends! Look at most fun-fly models, they all use metal "metal wire" u/c........due to them being more forgiving etc etc! My m8 has snapped / ripped two carbon u / c, one on his 30cc and 60cc 3D plane! He is/has now replacing them with metal!
  7. I've spend lots of money on carbon parts in the passed, or bought carbon version of the kits.......... and the question is "did they make my pilot skills any better " Carbon parts if you care about thing like that, do look cooler Most to all of the 30/50cc+ planes never come with carbon canpoys or even an opinion for one..........this may also be to do with cost of it as well! In the passed we used 35Mhz, which had the long aerial down the fuse. You can buy 2.4Ghz RX, which come with longer antennae! Made for carbon hotlinners or gliders etc etc! You can buy G10 or circuit
  8. When it comes to metal or plastic vs carbon.....you have to weight up the pro's and con's! "mosty talking about u/c and props "not metal of course"" Carbon looks good, but with snap! When metal will bend.....talking about u/c! If you are doing heavy landing or practising high alpha landing or have a short run way etc etc, then metal is the way to go! Carbon props are great, but the cost of them vs wood Also remember that 2.4Ghz don't like carbon at all! The carbon canopy / cowling could be around where the RX is or be in line of your TX signal, which could lead to lost of signal
  9. https://www.engadget.com/2016/04/26/hover-camera-drone-zero-zero-robotics/ Skynet is even closer, then you think!
  10. hmm someone else is saying :- So I would do the 1/3 test.......
  11. "The C/G is most likely around the 30% area of the wing" "Throws are down to you in the end, you may want lower or higher"
  12. My friend talks about drone use in Africa etc etc. Some of you may know him from his articles in the BMFA mag and RC mags! https://www.facebook.com/shahid.banglawala/videos/10154747660464123/
  13. I've also seen some AC/DC chargers not doing there job E.g Showing / saying fully charged, when the battery is not! But having said that, if it is only the battery in the mini hype, then it might just be a crapo battery! Do a few test etc etc!
  14. The higher the Volts the less Amps! So a 5cell will last longer than a 4 cell battery! But having said that the more you throw the plane about, the less the battery will last anyway. Also running a 5 cell over a 4 cell with make your servos move faster and have more pulling / pushing power! Make sure that the servos you are using can run on 6V+............most can these days and they will show there power / speed for 4 / 5 cell battery's in the info part of the box! For Spekrum RX, they have said for the last 6+ years......you should use a 5 cell battery all the time!
  15. Maybe we could get rid of the toy soldier with this one! Not saying this is a good idea and all! But he has still put a lot time and work into the one below! :-
  16. Not sure why they call it "Killer Drone".........not very PC
  17. It looks like Peter has already answered the question! A lot of the members that were in the club have moved on etc etc. with in the last 10 years! I will also ask around in the club and else where for you! Magic 60 is hard to get now, I have seen a few around in the passed.....but mostly second hand ones at Bring and Buy in RC model shows! If you are looking for something like that, maybe try the Ripmax Bullet ARTF! "close to it" http://www.ripmax.com/Item.aspx?ItemID=A-ARTF6714 It looks like Hobby Barn USA still sell it http://www.hobbybarn.com/magic-60-deluxe-ki
  18. lol they moved that Pitts around in a small caravan, which they made a big door in the front I am also sure, that he had that plane up for sale, sometime ago!
  19. Seen a few turbine boats in the pass! Also help set-up one as well! "In the shops I worked at and also on the water" Its cool at first, but after a bit it gets boring to watch!......full speed then turn around slowly then go full speed again Some people don't use a prop shaft system, they just use them the same as the rc planes would!
  20. Richard Anyway to have the forums so we can edit post's again after some time! I can edit newish posts, but post's that are like 2 days old I can't edit anymore! I know some other forums that are also like this for reasons etc etc....... Thanks
  21. Lofty

    Prop for ASP 46

hmm yes, I did use 13x4W and 12.5x3.75 on 50 / 55 size engines! But on a 46 sizes, you maybe pushing it abit!.......But you could try a apc 12x4 as Tervor said!
  22. They also didn't say! That with ever Mercedes AA class, you get a little helper !!!
  23. Just out of interest! Why has everybody post count gone down.....What is / was the reason? Did old posted get deleted?
  24. Just a thought, as it may have been on the old web site anyway! "can't remember" Is Geoff Potts happy / still happy with his home address on the web site! I know taking it off, could also course some problems with getting membership money etc etc!
