An update on the panel.

The fuel tank pressurising pump and the ignition switch have been started.

I've replaced the turned aluminium instruments housings with plastic card items.

Now I've dried the front room out following a cistern failure I think it time for an update on the Pup.

Here's a few pics of work done over the last three days.

Prevented from mowing the grass 'cos it's pishing down so had to get on with the Pup. Here's today's output.

I've finished the aileron drive sheaves for the lower wings and have yet to paint the litho plate surrounds PC10.

The cross bracing of the centre section is completed but for the security wiring of the turnbuckles.

The dummy Le Rhone is finally trimmed to fit and needs the addition of the copper plated air ducts and solid copper spark plug conductors to make it look half way decent.

Here's a question for you. Do you know what these are for? There are no prizes offered and Tony van G is not allowed to give the answer 'cos he knows!

There are 16 of them - that's a clue! They've yet to be painted satin black and fitted into position.

Turn up to the meeting on Thursday for the answer!

You know these widgets could just be retaining brackets running down the struts 4 on each strut hence 16 Thet may just hold connecting wires etc to aileron linkage on the real thing.

Regards,

Peter

Well - all was revealed at the Static Scale meeting and if you weren't there that's your loss!

The model is now ready to test fly this Sunday which, hopefully, will give me time to iron out any snags before the Old Warden Scale day next weekend.

Here's a couple of shots to show the completed Le Rhone with the air ducts fitted and one of the Rotherham pump with it's metal airscrew.
