  1. Its a 39 Martin. Speaking of wot-4,s, I have some more "hot" news! I spoke with the designer Chris Foss at the Crawley indoors yesterday, and he was telling me about a new 1/2 size Wot-4 he is working on at the moment. Designed to be also used indoors, the new model is a 1/2 size "woodie" of the original design, and can be also flown outdoors. I can't wait to get one of these TTFn, Oily
  2. sounds like cylinder bore/piston damage to me. Hope its not for your sake. Oily
  3. Dear all, I am just writing a build review for the Fusion Equaliser EP Pylon Racer. Hopefully, by the time I have written the review for the build, I will have test flown the little devil and be able to report on that too. Some of you will know that in the past I have done reviews for the late RC Model Flyer magazine and also RC Model World. I hope you will find this review informative and helpful. Uploading the photographs onto here will delay things a bit as I will have to reduce the size of the photo,s to post them on this website. Bit o
  4. did u get a car battery Ben? I have one to give you if you want it. Let me know. You will, of course, need a car battery charger! I bought a charger for model batteries at Old Warden last year, it charges Nicads/Nmph/ Lipos and burgular alarm type batteries, IE all I need. It was brand new and was £35. Let me know about the car battery. Oily
  5. translation:- Ben, I think Bravedan would like to talk to you about "how" to slope soar, there is more too it than can be conveniently written unless there is a book! Of course, the best way to learn is on the hill with a glider and a buddy box (no guarantee's there!). Certainly hope you can come and join us on one of our outings, I think you will love it! That is all, Oily
  6. Keep it in the dark and not too hot or cold. A brown paper bag in the chest of drawers would be fine. Oily
  7. Also I have seen a video of the test flight of the newly built Mosquito which took place recently. Oily
  8. One third wing chord at the wing centre point from the leading edge would be a good place to start. Maybe a centimeter forward of that to be on the safe side. These models tend to "float on" when landing, just so you are aware Regards, Oily
  9. Hi Mike, I sent an email to Emay Toha about your wot 4 foamie, his fus is broken and he is looking for a replacement. I expect he will snap your model up as quick as you like. Good luck, Oily
  10. Has any Member got a Futaba Field Force 9 Transmitter in good and known condition to sell? Please contact Roger Godly at 01843650845 with details. Thank you, Oily
  11. Remember tonight is Club Night, where we will be having a Skills evening. There should be a raffle, although Chris appears to be away in the Caravan in some remote spot! Lucky for some James is due to Demo some soldering skills, while I am hoping to bring something to cover with shrink wrap. I will be bringing the last remaining Plans for disposal, they are free so please help yourself. Hope to see you all later, TTFn, Oily
  12. Thanks Richard, I have just submitted a "heads up" post too Oily
  13. 2016 We are led to understand that the Southern Model Show has now been taken over by Headcorn Aerodrome management and the Maidstome MFC who fly there. It follows that Croydon Airport MFC no longer have any attachment to the Show whatsoever, and have not done so for some considerable time. Croydon Airport MFC wish Maidstone MFC and their partners every success with the Show in the future. Thank you, Peter Royall, CAMFC Chairman. 2016
  14. How much for the Cardinal and the Senator BD ? Oily
  15. Looks fab! Can't wait for a turn on the sticks Oily
  16. The BMFA have announced that due to construction works on Barkston Heath Airfield during 2016, the RAF have declined permission to hold the Power Nationals there during 2016 and possibly beyond. Awaiting any further announcements. Peter Royall, Chair.
  17. I can promise you the Buzzards will be very interested, may even attack! Worthy of on board camera Oily
  18. Thank you Bravedan, and point noted Ben! (Chairman keeping watch :0) )
  19. Some have mistaken these for sale posts to have been the domain of Peter Royall. I would just like to point out that this is not the case. These for sale posts are the domain of previous much respected member Peter S. who also served on the Camfc Committee for several years and who was responsible for the building of many a fine prize winning scale model. It is regrettable that Peter decided to remove his items from sale, but i,m afraid in my experience the "something for nothing" culture is predominant in the Hobby, and has been for many years. Thank you for your t
