  1. Fabulous Don, that's come on very quickly! Can't wait to see it for real. Especially like the tank. See you soon, James.
  2. Hi Brian, Thanks for your reply, but not sure what you have on offer. Would be great to have more details. Cheers, James.
  3. Hi James, Is it possible to have a copy of a couple of those pics? I think they will make a great background for this year's fun fly certificates. Cheers, James.
  4. The purple and white Fusion is mine. Fantastic pics James, well done. Could definitely use your skills at the Nationals Fun Fly next year!
  5. Wanted I’m trying to locate some models from my modelling past and would be very grateful for either plans, kits or airframes of any of the following that you might have hidden away in your lofts: Arrow Models Midge Trainer Aviette Moonshiner or Magnum Mick Reeves Racketeer Cambrian Grumman Traveller Cambrian Instructor Veron Impala Solent Sailplanes Ridge Racer / Recruit Kamco Kittyhawke Miri 100 Skyleader Skymaster MFA Sperber Any help would be much appreciated. James.
  6. Just a quick note to say that Eric 'Winkle' Brown will be on the 3000th edition of Desert Island Discs on Radio 4 at 9am this Friday 14th November. We were lucky enough to have a talk from Eric a few years ago which was fascinating and just a fraction of his life in aviation! For more details, have a look at this link below. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-29936069 James.
  7. I'd just like to say a huge thank you to all of you that attended the club display at Edenbridge yesterday. I was so delighted to see so many of you there and bringing such a great display of models. Although it was quite windy, I thought we put on a very good display and it was thoroughly appreciated by everyone watching. Thanks must also go to our own Dave Bishop for a fantastically entertaining commentary as ever and thanks also to everyone that helped me throughout the day, especially with the clearing up - that meant a lot! Events like that remind us all what a fantastic club we belong to
  8. This might shed some light on it . Was a great concert.. http://www.bromleytimes.co.uk/news/chri ... _1_2199457
  9. I've got two Gp 42's and never had a moments trouble with them. They are also very small and light and very simple. The engine of choice for most fun fly and sport models in our Caterham club is the 42 and I must say the carbs are better than the Irvine ones, with less leaks!
  10. Modelzone seem to have the GP 42 for £39.99 at the moment
  11. Thunder Tiger engines in my experience are fantastic. If you want an engine for general fun fly use you can't beat the Thunder Tiger GP 42 - very simple, reliable and extremely good value for money. The other really good fun fly engine is the Irvine 39, but that is more expensive if it's still available.
