Him a nice litte free flight plane might do the job old school.

Back at work so not much time to post details of Mini Magnum or pictures. However, my setup is as follows, West 36V and tuned pipe, HS645MG on Elevator, HS85MG * 2 on flaperons, mounted side byside in fuse, on to each torque rod.(had to do a bit of surgery to get them to fit.) HS82MG for throttle, The model if in electric guise has a removable canopy for battery acess. I have tpaed the canopy on for now and will ad a latch as I want to fit a rudder and need acess to top section of the dec to fit a rudder servo. Then can do some high speed knife edges and flat spins etc. Set Cof

I am designing a twin version of my bit of flying foam. Hope to use mixing to control dual throttle ie gives me rudder effect. Andre

Ok after much demand I will post some details of what I call WINGIT my foamy wing version 1. It is constructed from 6 mm depron some gaffer tape for hinges and a single carbon spar to give it a bit of strength. Will post a few demensions for the parts later in the week. Please note my setup does not have a rudder. Watch out for version 2 , 3 and maybe four .....

Well All I can say is I am glad I chose Jeti 2.4 not a glitch at all.

Richard was binned after first test flight need to re desing ducting for small 40 mm edf units as was to small to generate any thrust. Andre

I have been asked to post my design for my depro wing on line. I will dig out the details and post them and any plans if I can find them. As well as the set up I used. Ker Klunk

Gordon Welcome to CAMFC. Like your SebArt plane very nice indeed. Lecky planes have their advantages but in the high amp amp and KV motod the life span of the LIPO's is less than expected by about 1/2. The new 3 cell lipo and hik KV motor setups offer a better value for money option and with the chepper LIPO cells like LoongMax the cost per flight keeps coming down. But with my 4s edf packs I have spent more on the lipos over the last three years than on all the rest of my kit. Andre

Next I use four strips of 6 mm depron shaped to fit the fuse sides, glued in place. Fitted the internal ducting. rear ducting paper tube covered with selotape for strength. Fitted top of fuse in sections , but next time will be a single piece of 6 mm depron. Fitted bottom duct and fuse to wing use 6 mm long triangle shaped strips, topped with 2 mm Epp. Once dry sanded to shap to get rid of suqayre edges and make it look more like the real plane. A few pics so far. All thats left to do as servos fitted in wing when wing built. Not great for easy acess but can cut epp if needs be for

Gents My latest project from scratch. EuroFighter Typhoon Wing Span +-17" 2 GWS EDF 40 fans and 12 mm motors Hyperion 5800 kv 4 3.5g servos elevons, rudder, canard 3S1P 800 onngmax 20c lipo 2.4 Mhz Rx 5 chnl Jeti Depron, EPP and balsa. Started from this three view drawing of the plane. Used this to set out a Cad drawing. After mmuch designing started the build with the wing and formers. The wing is 2 mm Epp with Balsa and ply ribs and spar. 4 ribs. The wing is semi profile and the EPP is the covering and outer skin of the wing. Will Fg the wing using cloth and wood gl

Jim On engine mounting, I fitted a satio 120 to mine and still had to add 16oz of lead to the fire weall to get the c of g correct. The satio 120 mounted about 2.5 to 3 inches from the FW weights 900g or 32 oz. Andre

Jim What about a half length pilot which will allow instrument panel and the pilots are not as expensive. Just need to cut out and fit a 1/2 size cockpit. I ws going to attempt it myself before I creashed the spit. Andre

Looking good must repair mine and we can do a fly past. Jim seems a lot of down thurt in that engine might just be the picture making it look that way. Hope to see it fly very soon. Andre

After fitting a tuned pipe last week the engine was not running at full throttle. After much head scratching and testing and checking I finally established the pipe was throttling the engine. So I used a 50 sized pipe and he presto engine runs fine and full throttle found a few more rpm. On launch on Sunday in the wind, it was very windy on Sunday, flew fine until opened her up down wind and man she was fast. After a few seconds herd and odd vibration and after slow her down noticed half the tail feathers missing. It appears vibration at high speed is the culprit, will rebuild tail sec

I test flew my New Delta on Sunday and while not fast as on a stand throttle pipe with the manifold way to long. The plane flew very well and handles well great roll rate and smooth as can be in flight. Behaves better than most delta's with a small drop in high on tight turns. Pics attached. Will fit the full pipe and shorten the manifold for next time. Andre

The kit was the Yak 55 sold by YT International with an IC conversion kits and a few modifications of my own to bolster the firewall and undercart. The rear tail surfaces have an airfoil. The clevis appears to have stripped away from the push rod or worked itself loose. I have ordered a set Pete Tindal linkages for a 90 size plane to resolve this problem for all the linkages , aileron, rudder and elevator.

My new Yak 55 before flight or two on Sunday. HS 645Mg servos all round, Saito 72 on-board glow etc. First flight great easy to fly very responsive and landing was easy. Second flight decided to test roll rate and loops and after about two circuits on the far side of the field nose straight down and CRUNCH through the trees. I tested all the electrics and found battery switch Rx and xtal all fine. Checked servos and found a possible short on the elevator servo looks like wire was pinched at some stage. But would not cause a short when tested on the ground even when vibrated and
