On the subject of "closed loop system" :- As most, to all the wire out there used in / for the CLS is cover in a plastic coating. You can use a flame / cig lighter to metal the plastic coating of the wire together after twisting it around its self, say 10 times. After passing it throw the control hon. This is a very very strong hold and also alot safer than using crimps as, some time the crimps are not crushed with the wire enough and it all can be pulled out lose! If you have any spear CLS wire left, try this and see...what you think

I was going to do a re-build posted of the re-build, but there isn't much to talk about / show photos of. The main problem's I have with this plane atm is..... 1. I can't put in in my loft..."to big" 2. Not sure if I can get it into my brother car " lol" 3. I wanted to finish off my Panic, before doing this. 4. Also need to run in the OS 60FX " I wish , only have crapo SC 61 " Anyway I will try and finish it off before the 12th, there not much to do anyway. LOL also mine will look like its been thought both world wars, when I do get it up to the field !

All went well, had around 2 flights After redoing the main struck's & end wing holders the wings didn't move at all in-flight. " Which is a good thing" Before after only doing a few simple moves the wings would move out of place! Also due to the wings not moving out of place, the plane flew a hell of alot better, if you get what I mean ?! Also feels alot more fun to fly with out the dihedral in the wings to! The second flight was the best, nobody else in the air at the end "it was dark, thats why ", and I did alot of low slow fig. of 8's & few other things....

You can get / use pliers with out any grip cut into them. " hehe just another way of the shops to make more money out of selling stuff to you so you can use it ones in a blue moon " You can also put abit / some Cyanoacrylate glue at each end of the crimps! This well help stop the wire from pulling throw / out of the crimps if the crimps and wire are not crush together enough! Also some people like to run the wire back thorough the crimp again! E.g so the wire would loop back on the outside of the crimp, before going thought again!

    1. Has been finished. 2. Cut out and shaped and are ready to be put in place. But first I am going to fly with out them installed, to see if the same problem will happening now that I have redone the main supports. Should be flying this Sunday.
  7. Here's another one of them crazy planes kits , on Ebay :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... WA:IT&rd=1

Afew weeks have passed now, after the Bi-Pangster maiden fly / mid-air . So now its back to the drawing board, with the little mouth of info. that I got out of its very short flight test... Things to do! 1. Going to replace all the main wing support hon's with new ones, with these new ones I am also going to screw them in place as well. The hon's that are there atm are just glue " Epoxy" in place. 2. To stop the wing moving "out of line" in flight. I am going to be adding what the Panic has at the end of the wings! But with this Bi-Pangster they will not be at the end of t
  9. Just 2 things :- I think Rob & Ally from Avicraft need a big up thanks, because for the last 3 weeks + before our model airshow, each and every customer that walk into the shop they ask "are you going to the CAMFC / Hop-Farm show"! And the second things is....From listening to the chat in the shop over the last few days, everyone that went to the show LOVED it to h3ll, and can't wait for next year! And the people that didn't go wish they had gone and are kicking them self's in the butt!
  10. Indeed! Hard Work! But also great fun!

A short list of things to do :- Put in a 8oz fuel tank, replaceing 6oz?!, Replace engine mounting with backplace type one, Re-drill clowing for new rubber holder bolts /nuts, Re-move old throttle servo, Make a place / engine mouthing holder for Mini Servo, Do some small other things to.... e.g like attach battery saver / display thing! Will post photos later!

Well so much for that 1 hour building / finnishing it off, before I came to the field.....!!! Next time I say "o, its only going to take a short time, should be easy". I now must add at the end " BS you fool! " Well now I know for sure that a 61 size engine mount will not take a 71 engine size! That's about all I can say / leaned today So not much of a coming soon to an air field near you.........More like coming soon in 3 weeks or so!

Lol yes, in the end......Like a child in a sweet shop Indeed! Got my eye on that Gyro-Copper thing now Not to bad, only bummer is I have to work today "Saturday"
  14. Been talking off and on all day about my control surfaces, and I think I will leave them as they are for the time being. Yes they are wrong, but they will only add more row rate, with maybe the down side of the Panic not handing so good with very low speeds. If I find it dose make life hard, with in a min I will change them around!

Well after seeing and talking to Rob about this model for over 3 weeks now in Avicraft. And now after I had been working there all day, with it always in the corner of my eye! I in the end gave in and had to buy it! Below Photo :- Coming to a field here you, soon! Some info :- Both the top and bottom wing are set-up with dihedral, so I will leave this as it is for the time being. Maybe in the frucer I will change to a flat wing top & bottom! Also was told it ran very well on a 61 Engine by Rob as he had flown it afew weeks ago. They didn't have a 61 in, so Ro
  16. LOL with all this info & help, you would have thought he was getting married to me! BIG up thanks Jimbo!
  17. That sounds like it will work or should work! But because I did 4 x strips per control surface, I have close to run out of that stuff that holds them to the wing. So will need to get some more of it, before I can start work on them! Thanks for the reminder and yes it dose make sense, Master Jedi Jim! .........Just had another look at Rob's hand drawings / diagrams for the carbon aileron tube and it dose show what you have explained But it don't explain what angle they should be put in at! So do I just have an intelligent guest? Doh! x10 That page also shows that the
  18. On Sunday, Jimbo "Jedi Jim" had a good look over the Panic and pointed out what I needed "could" to change and some other stuff. Also last Friday & this Sunday as well Jimbo "fix it", went throw the ins and outs of how to set up the servos, radio gear control rods / hons. From that info, I am going to have to charge afew things. But this will not take to much time! Building There not much building at all to do now, its only small things that I need to do & change! Wing control Surface's Jimbo and some others pointed out that I have / may have them on the wron
  19. Not sure what Step now , lets just say 15 +. Did so much things that I can't rambler in what order. As you will see from the photos "below", the Panic is about 95% finished. The 3 main things left to do are the Ailerons servo arms & the 2 wing tips holders and the two rods that connect the top ailerons control surfaces to the bottom ones. I may chicken out of the ailerons arms that need to be solder and put the Z / L shape bend type instend. There are also a few small things to do like :- Cover RX & battery in form, Add form tape, where the wings go....to stop them rub
  20. Up after a 3 hours nap, been building all nigh and will build all day!!!!!! Finished my home made tail wheel holder. "Tail wheel from Joe's crashed Extra, I think" On woulds, and up woulds!
  21. Photo below : Probably the better RC model workshop in the world................... .............Not!!!! Today I have done :- Glued the fuel tank in & also added suppor foam around it, glued servro tray & tray supports in, all control surfaces are inplace now and some other stuff to! LOL after spending about 1 to 2 hours trying to get the Elervator rod arm & what ever part line up right, so the servor / control flap / rod arm can move freely. I have throwen the tail in for to night / early morning!
  22. Yes I have a heat gun as well....lol its called Top Gun!..... Hmm well with my stupidity I thought that the solar film "panels" should be stuck to the foam between the cap strips........DOH! Will try what you said and thanks, lol lets hope I don't burn the solar & form this time! Think I will not watch Band Of Brothers DVD and build
  23. Step 14 :- Cover the wings with Solar film..........Hmm well I did my best and that why is don't look so good lol. After talking to Jimbo & Andre at the field about the art of solar filming...... I now think I know how it should be done right, and will try and get it right next time / on another wing or plane! Anyway! So know I am thinking should I try and take it all off and then re-cover it again, or just do the last part of the wing and leave it as is!? Photo :- Not sure if you will be able to see what I mean by "I did my best", but here go's anyway :-
  24. If I pushed myself very hard then yes it could be ready, but not sure if I want to build for along time in a row. I like to do something else after about 1 hour to 2 hour of building. Maybe it will be 95% ready on Sunday, so maybe just do the engine run in and some taxiing about. I also think I am going to run out of solar film for 1 part of the wing an way. lol also like you are blinded now so you can't see your keyboard.......Think about me working 1 to 2 feet away for hours on end!! Sunglasses are a must in the front room
  25. Been flying to much, and so not much has been done Step :- 13 Cove-rd all the control surfaces & other parts with solar film.
