Horizon Hobby UK, have always been great like this. 90% of the stuff I've sent back, they haven't charge money! May a time, I've sent back RX's with broken case's or antenna damage , which they have repaired for free + also a software update as well!
-
I'm not sure if I should go in my Romulan or Ferengi out fit! Its a hard call!
-
The bottom line is, to make it a success. We need people to turn up, to make it work out! The last one, had a low turn out of members, which lead to a low turn out of stuff for the auction..... P.s Also people have to bring money and that can be a problem, when buying something over £100+
-
We have done this in the passed! Three to Four years a go the turn out was very good, but over the years the B&B / Auction has got smaller and smaller. To the point of there was no point doing them. We did have an Auction, earning this year. But the turn out of item's / people was very low! I think the main reason it has died a death is due to, SMAS B&B, Club Forum and bring stuff to the field. Anyway I will bring it up at the next comm. meeting!

Indeed the numbers of plane's, keep changing very time I heard or read about the Burma Spitfires! Anyway its all good knew's!
-
Just my thoughts ! I stop using NiCd's & NiMH where I could along time ago! I know they have been around a long time and are / where the standard batterys for RC for a long time! But I've just never been happy with them for a lot of reason's! I moved over to Reg's and 2Cell Li-Pos at first, for most of my plane's! But always thought the Reg. could let me down..... So now I am using Lithium Phosphate Packs "Li-Fe, A123, Li-FePo4....or what ever they call them !" The only three down side's atm, are cost, size "mAh" and you need a newish charger!
-
I've seen this happen to a lot of people You can't even use these type of TX with RC simulator
-
Nice, Nice and Nice!
-
I think, people just use 3 in 1 oil!

If you are into big planes! Then I would say your first port of call, would be the LMA. http://www.largemodelassociation.com/ I know you said you like making / building stuff! So i'm not sure how much skill / time you have had in building from a plan and starch? So maybe start of with a few Fair scout kits "mostly WW1" or Top Flite kits "mostly WW2" stuff then move onto Ziroli or Meister kits etc. etc.! Its better to learn on the smaller ones, before getting onto the big stuff! All I can say, its not all its crack up to be......sometimes bigger, isn't better! Building / flying
-
lol, give them hell! Just start it up LOL we start up turbines anyway and at any time
-
Horizon Hobby's / Blade just don't stop! Looks / feels like they are being out a new helicopter every 6 to 8 weeks
-
lol, if I had a £1, for every time I've seen a SebArt kit lose it undercart! I wouldn't be working 55+ hour's a week!
-
Very nice the Sebart stuff is! I saw the new Sebart PC-21 fly a few weeks ago . I've also had a few of there kits, as well! LOL they are all so doing a water plane thing as well I forget what it is, but I can't see where they are going with that! The only problem with any of the SebArt kits is, the cost! In the last few year's I've seen them jump up in price, by like 20 / 30%! Which I'm sure is putting alot of people off buying them I my still have some new prop's let from my Angle 50 / Pits Python, if you don't have any atm!
-
I will ask around, but not sure if I will get anywhere You may as well buy one from new, they are around $200/230 + $20 P&P! So you could get one for around £160 or so, which would be bane new! There are also other 20cc petrol engines out there as well, some costing a lot less than the DLE20! But I'm not sure how good they are! Also a lot of them are fitted with Walbro carb as well these days.
-
You should be able to re-use both the DLE 20 & DLE 30 again in other airframes! But if you want to fly larger models later on, then go for the DLE30! But also having said that DLE 30 maybe a bit to big for the cowling or just to much power! Also keep in mind the bigger the engine the bigger the prop! You may fine you need to run a 3-bladed prop if using the DLE 30! Its a hard one!
