Caterham MFC are holding aClub bring and Buy at their club night tonight Monday 20th Feb 2017.

CAMFC Members are invited to come and spend if they so wish.

    Venue:-

    Godstone Sports and Social Club,

    South Godstone.

Please look up your search engine for full address and postcode, thank you. (for some reason I can only open ONE internet connection at a time, how things have changed!)

    TTFn,

    Oily

Sincere apologies, but the History of the Southern Model Airshow has "dissapeared" from our website.

We have no idea why, but we will try to rectify the situation given time.

As you may appreciate, the original text took months to collate, and now it has to be done all over again, so we appreciate your patience.

    Thanks for looking,

    Peter Royall,

    Chair.

  3. Its a 39 Martin.

Speaking of wot-4,s, I have some more "hot" news!

I spoke with the designer Chris Foss at the Crawley indoors yesterday, and he was telling me about a new 1/2 size Wot-4 he is working on at the moment. Designed to be also used indoors, the new model is a 1/2 size "woodie" of the original design, and can be also flown outdoors.

I can't wait to get one of these :-)

    TTFn,

    Oily

Yes its the clubs Annual General Meeting tonight.

Please try to come, we have awards and prizes to give out, and we need to elect a new committee to run the club for 2017.

Ask questions and discuss matters of interest.

Bring your Equaliser to compare with club mates who are also building one.

James is bringing along the new "Thermaliser" glider from Evolution models along with a video demonstrating the launch of the glider piggy backing a ride on the Fusion fun fly.

A night not to be missed!

    Sue has doughnuts!!!

And of course, the raffle :-)

See you later, wrap up warm,

    Oily

  5. Dear all, I am just writing a build review for the Evolution Equaliser EP Pylon Racer.

Hopefully, by the time I have written the review for the build, I will have test flown the little devil and be able to report on that too.

Some of you will know that in the past I have done reviews for the late RC Model Flyer magazine and also RC Model World. I hope you will find this review informative and helpful.

Uploading the photographs onto here will delay things a bit as I will have to reduce the size of the photo,s to post them on this website. Bit of a nuisance really, but unavoidable.

Here are a couple of pictures of the completed airframe, the motor, esc, and battery are yet to be installed.

Look out for the review on this post in the next two to three weeks.

    thanks,

    Oily

  7. did u get a car battery Ben?

I have one to give you if you want it.

    Let me know.

You will, of course, need a car battery charger!

I bought a charger for model batteries at Old Warden last year, it charges Nicads/Nmph/ Lipos and burgular alarm type batteries, IE all I need. It was brand new and was £35.

Let me know about the car battery.

    Oily

  8. translation:-

Ben, I think Bravedan would like to talk to you about "how" to slope soar, there is more too it than can be conveniently written unless there is a book!

Of course, the best way to learn is on the hill with a glider and a buddy box (no guarantee's there!).

Certainly hope you can come and join us on one of our outings, I think you will love it!

    That is all,

    Oily

  9.

One third wing chord at the wing centre point from the leading edge would be a good place to start. Maybe a centimeter forward of that to be on the safe side.

These models tend to "float on" when landing, just so you are aware :-)

    Regards,

    Oily
