Remember tonight is Club Night, where we will be having a Skills evening.

There should be a raffle, although Chris appears to be away in the Caravan in some remote spot! Lucky for some :-)

James is due to Demo some soldering skills, while I am hoping to bring something to cover with shrink wrap.

I will be bringing the last remaining Plans for disposal, they are free so please help yourself.

Hope to see you all later,

    TTFn,

    Oily

and when the new lock has been fitted, the Farmer will remove the plough from the gate way.

Typical this happens on the best day so far of 2016!!

I hope all is resolved by Wednesday morning.

Thanks to Bravedan who waited for ages to speak to the Farmer about the missing lock, and also mentioned about the Softball parking on our parking area. The Farmer is reported to have said they shouldn't be there and was going to have a word.

Those members that have read the CAMFC E-Mail from James G. will know that there is a Model Flying Display at the RAF Kenley Heritage day tomorrow.

The display is due to take place from 12noon until 4 pm, and "B" certificate pilots are invited to take part.

The event would also benefit from as many static display models as possible, and there is always room for non flying members to chat with the Public about our great hobby.

Muster on the perimeter track close to the Portcullis club, which will be open, from 10am, thank you.

    Chairman.

    2016

We are led to understand that the Southern Model Show has now been taken over by Headcorn Aerodrome management and the Maidstome MFC who fly there.

It follows that Croydon Airport MFC no longer have any attachment to the Show whatsoever, and have not done so for some considerable time.

Croydon Airport MFC wish Maidstone MFC and their partners every success with the Show in the future.

    Thank you,

    Peter Royall,

    CAMFC Chairman.

The BMFA have announced that due to construction works on Barkston Heath Airfield during 2016, the RAF have declined permission to hold the Power Nationals there during 2016 and possibly beyond.

    Awaiting any further announcements.

    Peter Royall,

    Chair.

Some have mistaken these for sale posts to have been the domain of Peter Royall.

I would just like to point out that this is not the case.

These for sale posts are the domain of previous much respected member Peter S. who also served on the Camfc Committee for several years and who was responsible for the building of many a fine prize winning scale model.

It is regrettable that Peter decided to remove his items from sale, but i,m afraid in my experience the "something for nothing" culture is predominant in the Hobby, and has been for many years.

    Thank you for your time,

    Peter Royall,

    Chair.

I have too many Wot 4's in my hanger at the moment, so am selling a couple if anyone interested.

This is a Ripmax artf version, is fitted with a SC 40 motor and Futaba radio gear. Supplied with A Futaba Challenger 6 radio, and the futaba charger.

The model was last flown in September at Old Warden, and is a well balanced model to fly.

The model has had repairs to the airframe, but has been flown rigorously to test the structure.

So, ready to fly model with TX and charger asking £125.00.

I have some pictures, but they are too big to fit on this forum, but can e-mail to you if you want to see them.

Please leave a message if you are interested.

    Thankyou,

    Peter Royall.

I use an 11 X 7 prop on the 52's that I use, but rarely go full throttle because a) its not necessary and b) a lot of db can be generated because of prop tip speed.

A 12 X 6 is ok, but will take time to slow down when u want to be at tickover for landing.

    Hope that helps?

The TX I have for the grandsons to use is a "short range" Futaba sport 6 with a 5 pin din socket for trainer lead. When this drops on the floor, I dont mind too much!

Bit worried about Martins comment re copyright, I bought the Phoenix from Avicraft many years ago, and the lead i described came with the new disc. My description may not be 100% accurate, but thats what I remember.

I think my lead was mislaid at "Fight nite" at the portcullis club a couple of years ago, I was rather hoping my lead might re-surface.

    Never mind.

Geoff has kindly offered to let me use his lead, but it has the newer type TX plug.

    Thanks,

    Oily

  10.

The lead for my Phoenix simulator has been mislaid and I need a replacement. Can anyone help?

The lead I had had a 5 pin din plug on a black lead leading to a black box. Into this was a grey lead with a 3.5 jack on one end and a usb plug on the other.

Please mssg me if you have anything like that, or can point me in the right direction, thank you.

    Oily
