  1. Martin, Cyano usually holds carbon fibre together quite well. I would have a go at repairing the carbon tube with cyano first, being careful not to get the cyano on the foam. Then repair the fuselage with epoxy, uhu por or something.
  2. Dont they look great in the air.

    Cougar 2000 CoG

I used to fly mine at about 120mm back from LE. I would start at 100-110mm and work backwards if I was you. I notice that some people mount the motor forwards on long standoffs or build a box on the front to get the CoG right without adding lead. I dont remember the Cougar being specially sensitive to thrust angle. Maybe you could add a couple of spacing washers at the motor end to change the angle and leave the standoffs flat on the bulkhead?
  4. Yes good spot. Must try to correct it if I can unstick the stickers
  5. Just a few pictures of the electric Black Horse P51D Mustang that I won in the Christmas raffle. This is a nicely finished little model, though took a lot longer to assemble than it implies on the box due to some parts not lining up very well and the motor needing to be spaced further forward than the pre-installed bulkhead position. The wingspan is 41". Looking forward to the maiden flight when the weather is right.
  6. Last picture is my Wot4 FoamE, electric cougar is Emay's, ic cougar is Iain's, Limbo is Rod's Next to last is Lee's Wot4 FoamE Above Lee is Peter's Wot4 Classic The Wot4 FoamE with the clean fuselage is Martin's
  7. I have had Vapextec Instant AA Rx and Tx packs. I have found that they last about 3 years in normal use before one or more cell starts to go and they stop giving full voltage. The instants seem to drop about 10% charge over a month if left idle after a full charge, judging by the fact they usually need about 250mah top up after this time. I have eneloops too and they seem to lose about the same, maybe a bit less but not significantly. They do need a few cycles before they start working properly.
  8. Looks promising. Fast charge batteries that don't get sunburned!
  9. Ths article explained some things that I was confused about, might be useful to someone else. http://www.gibbsguides.com/article51_Ho ... _campaign=[successful_Electrics_Issue_20]:_How_to_Choose_an_Electric_Power_System_
  10. Do you now if they fixed the physics problems that the earlier 5.0 versions had?
  11. Barry would have rebuilt that, I am sure
  12. I hope the Horus comes with a big battery to power the Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS etc. My digi camera just has GPS, which drains the battery 5 times a quickly.

  16. May be of interest, the Felbridge Flyers MFC put their newsletters online. It looks like they have an even worse vandalism problem than us, with their shed being torched and equipment stolen. Note to Ian G. - Lysanders can fly, see link below http://www.felbridge-flyers.org/Documents/felnew158.pdf
