Fickleshole – South London – Surrey

Fickleshole is our clubs primary flying site located on a farm in Featherbed lane, Croydon.

Powered flying is permitted 7 days a week from 10:00am till 9:00pm. After 7pm we have an noise limits and there must be no more than two internal combustion models in the air at one time.

At present Saturday flying is usually not advised due to Tactical Warfare restricting our available airspace. Helicopters are usually OK on a Saturday provided you keep within the runway area and you do not overfly the Airsoft event.

Only silent electric flight is allowed on all bank holidays, which includes Christmas Day and Boxing day. For our full list of site restrictions please see our FAQ

Monthly Social Evenings

Our Club nights are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the clubhouse which stands in a corner of the famous Kenley Airfield where the 615 Squadron were based during World War 2. We look forward to seeing you!

We occasionally have a guest speaker or hold demonstrations or a masterclass on anything to do with building and flying of radio controlled planes or helicopters. During the summer months we often get the opportunity to fly electric models outside, at club nights.
