I believe all brushless ESCs would have some concept of a "curve" built in - so probably for your ESC that curve is a good match with your particular motor. I think the main argument I can see for using the Rx curve is that you can tweak the shape of the curve in a way you can't on the ESC. This definitely falls in the fine-tuning category well after the model is trimmed nicely

Please get some vid/pics if you can chaps - I can't make it to the field but would love to see Trevor's Maggie go, I'll feel happy that I glued at least a few of the matchsticks into place even though I couldn't finish the job

Try putting your ESC into 'soft start' if it isn't already. It may be the motor is coming on very suddenly which is 'jerking' the model into the roll. On a side note, since I know you have kit that supports this, I've found a throttle curve helps a lot with electric throttle response: A good starting point is (0,0)%, (25, 50)%, (100,100)%. E.g. 50% power at 25 % throttle and linear between that point will be OK -- however, using a curve like this while giving you nicer more linear throttle will mean even smaller application of throttle stick to stop the torque roll inducing since small

Cheers Steve, I've got a Xoar 16x10e and Graupner Elektro 16x10 to test. May give you a shout as always good to check out other props - especially as have a data logging Casle ICE ESC that can show graphs on my laptop so will be able to at least tell the difference even if doesn't help my flying!

Caveat - I'm speculating below, but maybe it will help... What motor/prop have you got in it - recommended setup or something hotter? The roll could be a result of torque in which case, go gently on the throttle during launch. I've seen this same effect in a few flying wings I built where you had to ease them into flight on low throttle. Only other thing I can think of is if one of the winglets has got bent and is at a significantly different angle to the other. But seems unlikely if you and Leon gave it a thorough check... You could go back to basics with a piece of string and mea

I'll be watching this Open Source Transmitter project very carefully. With a programming background, you always want to get at the source code to make greater use of the hardware than the manufacturer imagined (or wanted). This brings it closer... http://www.os-rc.com/ (Richard) Looks like is supports FPV pretty nicely too

I've got a fair number of 3s 2300mAh packs that I currently use in my Wot4 Foam-E. Fancy a bit of variety on my electric flying days so would like to get a second airframe. In an ideal world, I would like an ARTF mid-winger - something like an Extra 260, but in my limited experience these need larger packs. Anyone got any suggestions for a model that would complement the Wot4 well? Cheers Arun

I tried this out last night. It is much more game, less simulator than previous iterations... wasn't that impressed although the graphics are nice(ish).

The apparently long awaited latest version of Microsoft Flight has been released as free-to-play. This is a good model as you can download the simulator and start using it straight away (you'd probably want a joystick and maybe pedals to get most out of it I guess) - if you want more plans, scenery etc. you buy just what you want directly in the game. More info here: http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/

Dave may be right, I haven't had time to check ... but hadn't realised how many manufacturers made Space Walkers!

That's cute There was a review in RCM&E a while back, if you want I have digital subscription so can PDF it and email you a copy - may have some useful build pointers.

I see if you go up a level on that website there are a few other nice panoramas. Have you tried any of the others Dave, any recommendations apart from Pegaso? http://www.panographos.com/site/Photofi ... ields.html
