  2. I use the forum on my phone and it works seamlessly all the time.
  3. An A380 wouldn't fit most airports, let alone a cold field in Croydon! During the war, the boffins made a Halifax radio controlled via a mosquito.... B
  4. In a past issue of rcm&e they had a 2/3 scale 100cc motor glider, that had a full size child dummy as a pilot! He had to rent a lorry, as each wing was about 10ft. B
  5. Monster Pitts Python (85%) flown at Wings & Wheels 2013. Engine loses power and ends the routine early but brought down safely with limited power. This model is the largest radio controlled aircraft in the UK, maybe in Europe, weighing in at 138 Kg, just under the maximum limit as defined by the CAA of 150Kg. The Pitts is scratch built, that means plans, design, construction and materials are all created by the builder to emulate the full size aircraft and it took Greg 5 years to complete this 7/8th scale biplane. The engine is manufactured by Hirth and is usually mounted in man carrying m
  6. Yeah, I had a £10 Audi and Ferrari from tkmaxx, and my friend and I raced them and filmed the racing via my phone taped to the top! Gr8 Fun! B
  7. I agree with Steve. They are great fun for 10mins. I once had a rc car that ran off of 4 volts, and I got bored with it after half an hour. I put a 3s 11.1v lipo on it, and it was great fun until it began to smoke.... B
  8. Yeah you told me about those. I am still in shock about how fast they go, but that sound of the turbine is B
  9. NOOOOO!!!! What a waste of a good turbine You need one of these, its "fun" to fly (into the oak tree) B
  10. Couldn't you just jump out and not pay your fare?! B

    Prop for ASP 46

Everyone has said to get a 12x4, so I will. Try it and see! B
  13. Sounds formidable!!! Seriously, joking aside, how is it really? I know its heavy but just how heavy? Does that big screen aid flying? B
  14. Who has a Horus? I thought we settled this? Do you want me to get you a table for you to put it on when you fly, because you need a metal re-enforced neck to hold that thing up? The Horus is for looking at and walking past, not buying! The results from the test would be interesting though... I am sure it is a great tx, but it is M-ha-sive: I could watch tv on that screen! B

    Prop for ASP 46

Thanks Trev. I think I'll keep it on for now and see how much thrust it really has. B

Anyone got an Idea? I have an 11x4 on it, and its quite revvy. A 12x4 has been suggested. Its on a 3D plane(Weston mini hype) B
  17. I have now got an email that I should have got last night. There seems to be a delay... Is there any way to solve this? Other than that, a cracking job well done B
  18. Its up to date now, but it wasn't 2/3 hrs ago................... I'll think I'll manage. In the old forum, when you got a pm, or a topic you were watching changed, you got an e-mail. Is there a way to do this with the new forum, as it was really really useful. Thankyou, B
  19. Hi Rich, The "new posts" isn't showing new posts. they are all 2/3 days old???? B
  20. Only the RAF could do what they do with the precision that they do. Amazing video of the Reds flying at RAF Cranwell during training from a cockpit camera. There's always FPV..... Hangar 9 Hawk T1 artf anybody? Enjoy B
  21. Hi Richard, just an idea. As per Dave and his multirotor forum, perhaps a forum specifically for modelling questions. Then beginners or people like me could get our questions answered without the question getting lost in chitchat. Just an idea! B
  22. U/C on, engine on, stab's on.... Its standing on its feet!!!!! Any ideas for a colour scheme? B
  23. Here is the 2016 Airsoft games list. Scroll down and you should see a list of pdf's, one of which is the 2016 game dates http://www.tacticalwarfare.co.uk/info/ The list of dates for the clay shoot is as follows: 17 Jan • Feb 21 • Mar 20 • Apr 17 • May 15 • Jun 19 • Jul 17 • Aug 21 • Sep 18 • Oct 16 • Nov 20 • Dec 18. B
  24. I flew it today and it worked brilliantly, despite stalling deadstick (my fault for ignoring alarm) and landing directly on undercarriage, there was not a hint of damage. I honestly think the flying wires do help........ If anyone hasn't done this, and thinks they'll get away with it, trust me, u won't... Anyway, good luck. b
