  2. The Gallery has been quiet for a while, so here's some pictures from the show, oh, and the Tiger Moth makes it back to the Air after a refit.
  3. Sadly, having spent the weekend occupied with the smooth running of the background activities, I didn't see much of our Show except for the Toffee drop and the Trainers at lunchtime. However, all concerned with the runnings should be congratulated for putting together the BEST SHOW in the Country. All I spoke to were full of praise for the CAMFC Team for making it a truly fabulous weekend. Well Done Lads, you made a lot of people very happy! About 10,000 actually! OILY.
  4. Hi everybody, this years Bring And Buy at the Southern Model Airshow is promising to be the best ever so far! The Club is aiming to have a huge Marquee, which will also hold the Bar area. It is planned to be in the same location as last year, but changes around the layout of the Hop Farm itself may require a re-location. It will however, be adequately signposted, and it should be easy to find. There will be some adjustments to booking in this year, which will require a booking in fee of £1.00 per ticketed item. The normal commission of 10percent on the sale price will then apply as normal.
  5. Looks like someones got themselves a job! Well done the new blood in the club, COMEON!!!!! Oily

    Nitro Fuel Cost

never mind about the cost of the Nitro, I'm having problems with the price of the Deisel, and as for the Electric Bill, well I think the laugh must be on all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think i'll just give up everything and spend no money AT ALL, and see how they like that! SO THERE!!!!!
  8. Chairmans Jenny Looks like you have to log in to see this picture
  9. Just got a new review to do for R/C Model Flyer Magazine. Its a WW2 Warbird, ARTF. A first delve into the box looks interesting. Span 62 in. Power 40-46 2cycle or 60-70 4 cycle. Can't say anymore at the moment, Watch this space. Oily.
  10. That's a fine MiniPanic you have there Jimbo! Are you going to fly her in the Garden?

    Fuel for Saito?

thanks for pointing out my mistake JIM! and Sorry Trev.I wasn't trying to imply you were JIM, (even If you do live in the same street), It was just a bit mind boggling reading about all those different mixes and opinions about fuel. I'm glad its not like that when we go to the petrol station with the car! I think i would stay indoors !
  12. Wow Chris, there was a car looks just like yours!

    Dilemma

I still want a Pitts style silencer for an OS 91!

    Fuel for Saito?

Hi Jim, Er! Crikey, have you read through that lot really, and did you make your mind up? How about this, I've been using Model Tech Dynaglo 5% for 16years. It runs everything, cleanly, doesn't go out, unless there's a fault with the carb, and I've still got most of the engines still in running order. (it doesn't assist with ground impact effect!) You would probably get slightly improved performance with 10% nitro due to the cooling effect. Mike uses a 30% nitro fuel in his Saito powered Championship model, but I don't know what the actual fuel is and it cost's a bob or two! Dynaglo is a
  15. Well at least we can still look forward to seeing her fly in the future. Hope the Tomtit works out OK. Be careful about weight saving Tel. Or am I teaching you to suck eggs? Hope to send you some scribe about club night soon on your pm. See ya! Oily.
  16. Hiya. Just been looking at your DC pics, have you flown it yet, or is it still in mothballs? Looks Great! Jims had one for ages too. His is finished in brown and is a bit oblong shaped though. Maybe he's bringing it to the field on Sunday for the Limbo, he said he's got something new to try. Maybe this is it! Seeya soon Tel, Oily
  17. Thanks for the encouraging remarks lads. I've got quite a few pics to put on that might be interesting-who knows? The secret seems to be the size of picture you set your camera to store. My camera was set to store pictures the size of a barn door, since adjusting it down, the transfer of pictures onto the forum seems to be pretty srtraightforward. The other bonus is that the camera will now store many more pictures! Right, i'm going to write a letter to Tandrige Council now about electric flight, wish me luck! TTFn , Oily
  18. Another brave attempt at downloading some pics out of my camera!
  19. Well B Taylor has one of these and some kind of engineering degree. Maybe he might lend some comment to your question. Oily. As regards the 26 screws on the F2b I dont know what to do about that either. Just finished covering mine. Need to instal the Laser now, and buy a gun and some roundels, (thinking about painting them on, what you think?). Jim, what did you use to section sand your struts? Theres a lot of them!!!!!!!!!!! Any easy answer?

Hi Jim, I like the 3-leg stool type undercarriage the best! Can I get one for mine? Seriously, you're doing really well, just when do you go to work??? I went to MC Models today to get some solartex for mine, I hope to get best part of it covered this weekend. Only wish I could get some photo's of mine on here. You'll all have to be content with seeing the finished real-thing when it's ready.

Hi Jimbo! Thanks for the confirmation with regard the Aileron gaps. What I've done is to take them apart again along the leading edge, and put in fillets and re-glued. The leading edge now looks slightly curved! When offered up against the trailing edge of the wing, however, BINGO!, looks perfect. I hope it all works when it is all fitted together! This problem has been worrying me for weeks, I hope now that I can get the Bristol finished for the Summer Season, maybe some formation flights with a good Friend? See Ya!

oh yawn! hi jim, well I went to the field to see if it really was windy and raining. Guess! We watched Charlie and Spike get covered in mud, then we went home. As regards hinges, I havent figured out yet why the ailerons don't touch the wings at the wingtips yet? They did when they were still joined together, then I cut them apart and glued them up like the instructions said, and now there's this odd gap at the ends of the wings!!!!!!! Just doesn't look right, so I've sort of abandoned it while I try and figure it out. Was yours like that Jim? As regards the hinges, solartex joints a
  23. As far as I can say, the 2008 Show is progressing nicely. The flight line Traders line is practically fully booked, and bookings are filling up on the Tradeline 2 as well. It would seem that Tradeline 2 is just as popular as Trade Flightline, so just goes to show you what a brilliant Show we are blessed with! Roger is snowed under with invited Pilots applications, and is dealing with all these as time allows. The acrobatic Helicopter Ace, Dennis Kenyon, has been booked to appear again, so we can look forward to that? Something new? We are trying to set up a model train exhibition in the Dra
