  1. Now that the Southern Model Airshow Website has been upgraded, Paul C informs us that he will now turn his attention to the CAMFC Website, with similar upgrades. With luck, we should be able to post better quality pictures, and even some video,s, how good is that! Thanks Paul C, TTFn Oily
  2. Sorry Chaps! If you cannot find the link to book in for 2012, dont panic, we have not been able to open it yet. Please bare with us, and the link will be open asap. Many Thanks CAMFC.

Dont fret to much over the paint creep Trev, it will be covered in oil soon, and it wont matter any more. Your bulkhead looks as much a mess of hard work as mine, HaHa! As long as it works, doesnt matter! Roger advised me to use Evo Stick contact adhesive on litho plate application, and that seems to work just fine, and stays on! Lets hope your UHU works just as well! Model is looking good, and solartex is a very good choice for this airframe. TTFn Oily
  4. CAMFC regret, that due to unforeseen circumstances, the contact telephone number for Pilots has changed, in the following, modified, announcement. think about your prop clearance Trev. With a 61 4S, it might be in the grass! TTFn

    whats FPV stand for please?
  8. Committee are seeking somebody to DJ in the bar marquee on Friday night, 7 - 11ish. Volunteers with their own equipment, please apply to the Show Committee. Thankyou.
  9. Great shame Don! Unfortunately, my video of the event captured mostly sky, and no model content! The pictures you have posted say it all! So! What's next? TTFn Oily
  10. Yes, and i found a Tornado with swing wings and 2.4 fitted for £400 on E-Bay the other day! Very nice, but big money? TTFn Oily
  11. Just the Facts Ma'am, just give me the facts!
  12. Number of visitors over the 2 days?/ Number of Traders and exhibitors?/ we used two ride on lawn mowers for 2.5 days to cut the runway, and they used about 40 litres of juice. I will try and think of some more during the day. Oily.
  13. 15mins in the oven giving even heat normally works. Normally upsets the "other half" as well! Its the laquer holding the bearing in, just need to melt it, and the bearing should drop out easy peasy. Good Luck.
  14. I don't know half as much as you guys, but i've been chasing planes with a lense for years now, and I have always found that the Manual focus is best. Especially when you are zoomed in to the subject. Auto focus always trys to focus on the bigger picture i.e. the sky, then you end up with a blurred image of the subject you really want. Since I am now using digital camera's, I have found they are not so good as analogue at capturing moving planes, especially when you zoom in! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Oily
  15. Missed it! Thank goodness! Sorry about your model Don, but it could have been much worse! Looks like I,m going to loose my case. TTFn Oily
  16. Good for you Jimbo! There's a lot of people out there do not realise that the venue has to be paid for. Just because you can walk down the pavement for free, it must be free to go on someone else's property as well! If Hammond wants to come and do my volunteers job at the Show for the week, I might just give him the £12! TTFn Oily
  17. Blimey! Dont let Alison see this Jimbo'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Good Luck Steve, I think Brad has or had one of these. TTFn Oily
  19. Gordon, I only just saw your post, youre welcome to fly her when the opportunity arises. I'm going to be off the circuit for a while, so we can take up the subject later. TTFn Oily
  20. Petr Shaw had a set of new vulcan plans. I think he intends to build one, and I fancied a go at one as well at one time. Still might though, with the Full size example so unsure of future. The type is controversial and topical at the present, so a model would cause much interest, I would have thought. Shame yours got broke Steve, I expect pete's plans have CG marked on them! TTFn Oily
  21. Thats a very nice model Don, I'm only going to let you view mine from 1/2 mile away now! Oily
  22. Yep! Get well soon Tom, and if you do read this, next time you call me on the phone, and you want me to call you back, hows about leaving me the Number!!!?? lol Best wishes, Oily
  23. Well Chris, I think Jim and I will probably fly these together, on different days!!?? Unfortunately, fly like a Wot 4 they do not! Oily
  24. Yes Rod, I have now wired the servo's independantly, so that the aileron differential can be programmed in. Also, I hve taken out the 4.8v battery, and replaced it with a 6v. This should transmit a stronger signal along the wires to the ailerons? The battery has been moved forward's to move the CG the same way. TTFn Oily
