  3. Well seeing as it is open source you have modules so you can go one Futaba, Specktrum, Hitech or any other system they releas the module for. There is thread about it on High Alpha.
  4. Lets just say "lets not just say" eh
  5. I had a Seb Katana 30e many moons ago.............I also had the 1.20 version too and the Seb Suk 1.40 (well I had about 3 of those). The only thing I will say is don't break the U/C there a pain to fix.
  6. Avicraft has a nice 20cc Mintor engine in the shop, looks similar size to my Saito 125 I have just finish my H9 Mustang when I was looking at the engine I was looking at the Saito 20/30cc (4 stoke petrol), the 30 would of been too big IMO. Things that put me off 2 stroke petrol was they don't sound as nice as glow (unless there on a pipe or canister exhaust) and glow gives better power for the size over petrol. Petrol is great, clean and cheap to run and buy (unless your going for a nice sounding Saito in which case it is very expensive) but I wanted power and a sweet sound to enhance
  7. I am also looking at these too. http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroonlin ... .html#info I will have to do some more overtime at work I thinks.
  8. Well after exstensive playing and buying all the planes and packs I might buy one of these http://www.horizonhobby.co.uk/aeroonlin ... _icon.html I think the concept of it is just awesome, I mean a jetski/plane how awsome is that http://www.iconaircraft.com/
  9. I just spent a few hours online with other players and it was fun, but more game than Sim as Arun said, at least my xbox live accounts work with it, now do I buy a Mustang...................................

  12. Vortex ring state..........never heard of that before, I have always called it blade wash and that was not blade wash he was getting. To get into blade wash you need to be descend in forward flight quite fast as your flair to a stop you end up in your down was. All he done was descend too fast. when I do rapid up and down collective movements on my raptor (AKA as pitch pumping) the heli will descend quick than it ascends due plain old gravity, even though the blades have the same + and - pitch movement the heli weights a lot less on the blades in a downward direction than it does going u

Most gyros including the Futaba range need about 10 minutes in the ambient temperature before you use them or you might get drift issues.

    FPV Anybody?

Pete the BMFA requirement is that the FPV pilot is on a buddy (slave) with a competent pilot on a master, Some FPV have movable cameras so when you move your head the camera moves, normally the they are 2 RX and TXs, 1 being the flight system the other the video. I have been playing around with this today http://www.draganfly.com/uav-helicopter/draganflyer-x6/ The whole system is quite interesting especially the dedicated TX with its built in telemetry Not mine but a guy that is looking for pilots.
  23. Last time I checked 20cc is 1.22 cu in so yes the airframe will take that size engine in glow or petrol form. Well through my eyes the SC engine is the Ryobi of the petrol world which is why I was comparing it from experience (I only used to use OS, YS and Irvines) so I think my points are still valid although the SC.52 4 stroke I inherited was an OK running I have never got along with there 2 stroke range. The DLE engines have been up there with the rest of the top brands in terms of weight, reliability and power, you can get cheaper (CRRC, JC and loads of other brands) but I only use
  24. DLE 20cc petrol engine (same size as an 1.20 glow engine) £130 http://www.rc-fans88.com/details.asp?prodid=2564 1.20/30cc size model (global RC Extra 300) £200 http://www.globalrc.co.uk/extra-300lp-138-p.asp When I look back and payed silly money for an Funtana and glow engine currently almost £300 for an Funtana 1.25 size model and £254 for an OS 1.20 size glow engine you can see the big difference. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/77066/ http://www2.ripmax.net/item.asp?itemid= ... 80-010-171 As well as fuel cost and dirty snot fuel................... Any way the pl
