What we flying, 3D, warbirds or aerobatic? I think a warbird or aerobatic would be good, but aerobatic is harder than straight forward flying (by all means I am not saying flying scale is not hard) I think warbirds would be nice, I am currently have a hanger9 Miss America Mustang to build, same as the one Jim has got. Or how about warbirds woth real type aerobatic aircraft flying with the warbirds (like a centry of flight sort of thing) in a scale sort of mannar?

Is that why you looked like a pro flying the FX100 compared to flying like a newbie on the ST90 What was your words,,,,"it does like to drop/flick a wing in a turn",,,,,,,you could not even keep it stable in slow smooth formation flying.

I have been told 2 stories, 1st one is the production of nitro and other factories in China haves been forced to close down for the Beijing games to reduce the pollution, 2nd is that they are still producing but shipping of hazardous materials will be halted 2 months before and 2 months after the Beijing Olympics.

Well I knew it was going up (but not by that much ), I thought it was just the US imported stuff that was going up, I thought MT did not have a problem with there nitro supply (unless they are cashing in on the supply issues from the far east or obtaining the nitro from the same place??? Good job you filled you van up with cheap fuel from the show Steve Magnum 30% has already gone up form £19.99 to £20.99 a gallon it Champion 20% Was £18.40 4.55L = £4.04 Per Litre Now £22.65 4.55L = £4.98 Per Litre Magnum 30% Was £19.99 3.79L = £5.27 Per Litre Now £20.99

It is also suppose to consume half the amount of fuel as well as more power................not that you need it with a YS .................could also mean less smoke.......................I think I will stay with glow plugs

Well seeing as you have seen it without the cowl on did you give it a check. I.E. is the rubbers still in good condition on the mounts and is the mount on there tight as with all rubber mounts they were out in time.

I only run Formula Irvine on my 2 strokes because it is spec'd for OS engines and that is mainly the brand I use. For my 4 stoke engines I use my heli fuel (Magnum) as this is what my YS book says on the issue "use a good quality fuel containing 15% to 30% nitro, and oil content of 20% to 24%. Synthetic oil only. If you use caster oil, no more than 2% is recommended. DO NOT USE FOUR CYCLE FUEL DUE TO LOW OIL CONTENT" The one I use is Magnum 30% heli blend, this has 22% fully sync oil. There is also Magnum YS/DZ 30% nitro which has 22% oil of which 5% is Castor and 17% synth. The Magnu

Big thanks to Steve for not only being the photo man on Sunday but also holding my hand whilst I maidened my Capiche. I had lots of worry about if I got a dead sticks, gliding to the runway, how stable the flight and how the plane would fly ect ect. The plane took off in just under half runway and is the best F"ing thing (sorry excitement) I have flown to date. 1 click right and 2 clicks up, it was so stable that it put some trainers to shame. I also had concerns about landing so on first lanidng I chopped the throttle just before the threshold and it stopped at the half way point on

OK Trevor, Here is the spec Extreme Flight 74" Yak 54 5 x JR DS8911 (25Kg) servos (not sure what throttle servo to use yet) YS 170 on a APC 19x8W with a Tru Turn spinner NMP header and exhaust Still to be confirmed is the RX and power system. Initial flight will be a 4100 6V sub C pack on a AR7000 and this will be data logged. I may get a Li-Po regulator or dual heavy duty RX batteries or even a AR9200 but that decision will be made after the data has been collected and analysed. I still have to order the engine but I have done all the hinges and horns and installed all th
